Malvazija Baracija 2021
Istrian Malvasia from the estate's youngest vines.
Light maceration gives complexity and depth to the sip. Apricot, white flowers and barely noticeable tannin make for a wine of great charm and drinkability.
Giorgio Clai founded, in 2001, his winery in Krasica, a village in the municipality of Buje, in white Istria, Croatia. After dedicating his life to catering, he decided to devote himself to his dream: wine.
The vineyard's soils, of clay-arenary marl, enjoy a microclimate particularly favorable to vine cultivation, due to the meeting of the mountain current coming from the Ucka with the sea current, which flows up the Mirna River. He thus cultivates his 10 hectares according to the principles of biodynamic philosophy, using only sulfur and copper as treatments, with the utmost respect for the nature on which they grow.
