Barbera del Monferrato DOC 2021
Bright, crisp Barbera with an enveloping sip with subtle, delicate tannins and straight thanks to lively acidity.
The palate is ripe cherry, with aromatic notes of anise and hay vegetable. Excellent with the entire meal.
Francesco Brezza is a true farmer, an honest farmer who is deeply passionate about his work. He inherited the farm from his father Luigi, a key figure in the history of Italian viticulture. To date, the farm covers 50 hectares, 13 of which are vineyards and the remainder dedicated to the cultivation of barley and cereals, a crop that is also functional for cow breeding, a fundamental practice for the farm that thanks to the work of the animals manages to have a closed-cycle system, as they transform agricultural production into organic matter to fertilize the vine-covered soil, starting a new life cycle.
The agricultural part is fundamental for the creation of light and vital wines, where pulp and juice are expressed with a taste of great expressive finesse. Above all, Grignolino, a variety that has always been overshadowed by Nebbiolo, but which producers like Francesco are rediscovering thanks to solid wines capable of defying time.
