Sparkling Rosé Wine
Sparkling rosé wine is produced by restarting the fermentation of a bottled rosé wine. Though it was perhaps a lesser-known category of wine in Italy, in recent years, it has become more and more sought-after.
The pressure inside the bottle, due to the carbon dioxide developed during fermentation, must by law be no less than 1 bar and no more than 2.5 bar for sparkling red wines.
A natural sparkling wine does not rely on the addition of carbon dioxide as most conventional sparkling red wines on the market do.
Sparkling rosé wine usually has charming colour nuances. Could this explain its rapid rise in popularity?
