Sparkling white wine
Sparkling white wine is produced by restarting fermentation in a bottled white wine.
The pressure inside the bottle, due to the carbon dioxide developed during fermentation, must by law be no less than 1 bar and no more than 2.5 bar.
A natural sparkling wine does not rely on the addition of carbon dioxide as most conventional sparkling white wines on the market do.
Sparkling white wines are usually quite young and fresh which doesn’t preclude the possible presence of complex characteristics.
