We are in Paternopoli in the heart of the deepest Irpinia, here the Luigi Tecce winery produces some of the most astonishing taurasi around. Pure Aglianico and wines that are a unique compendium of finesse, power, balance and concentration. 

Luigi is a man of many interests, passionate about art history and horse riding, he joined the company taking the heights in 1997 after the death of his father. He represents the fourth generation of winemakers to take care of the company and immediately made some important choices: the first was to abandon chemistry in agriculture to follow a cleaner, more natural path. The second was the choice to bottle the wines produced, having realised that they had an incredible heritage on their hands.

Today the company owns 5 hectares of vines, all divided into small plots with very old plants, some of which are even centuries old, at an altitude of between 500 and 600 metres.

Volcanic Territory

Terrior of volcanic origin where above all Aglianico but also the other indigenous grapes of the area have found the perfect habitat here. The soil composed of limestone sand and lapilli, the high altitude and a southern exposure create grapes of the highest quality, which reach perfect maturity in every vintage.

In the cellar, no selected yeasts, filtration or clarification for free wines with great energy.
