Les Donneurs de Temps was born from a deep passion for viticulture fueled by more than a decade of experience in sixteen different French vineyards. Guillaume Gilet embarked on this journey with the vision of creating a sustainable model of viticulture that respects nature, people and tradition, allowing him to live out his passion for winemaking.
The total vineyard area is less than one hectare, managed organically for more than 10 years, with no synthetic products, choosing instead to use natural substances such as sulfur, copper, clays, talcum powder, and herbal teas to protect his vines and promote growth, making extensive use of traditional practices that respect natural rhythms and common sense.
A particular economic model
Les Donneurs de Temps stands out not only for its commitment to organic viticulture, but also for its economic model: indeed, Guillaume started the winery without loans or subsidies to avoid excessive financial burdens and maintain independence. This approach was made possible through the “Donneurs de Temps” mechanism: everyone, as part of the community, contributes when, how much and how they can, helping each other in times of need. Which adds charm to the story, and adds a flavor of balance to the wine that goes beyond the substance in the glass.
