Producer: Halarà
Halara Rosso 2024 Terre Siciliane IGT
Marsala, Trapani
‘Take it easy’, this is the meaning of Halarà from the Greek and it seems to us that this was also the motto during vinification, where the wine spent six months in contact with its fine lees to extract all its aromatic qualities.
Produced from Parpato grapes, an indigenous grape that has almost disappeared, it is thought to be a distant relative of the Grenache but it is difficult to go further. What we do know for sure is that from the vineyard recovered by the 6 Vignaioli Amici, in Contrada Abbadessa in Marsala, come wines of rare luminosity and expressive purity, like this red wine that tastes of the Mediterranean and the sun.
A hymn to contamination, to finding unity in diversity, it is a perfumed wine with pleasant notes of black cherry and Mediterranean scrub. Warmth on the palate, where sweet red fruit returns, accompanied by citrus notes reminiscent of blood orange. Dry and fine finish, supported by a nice salinity.
