Charme 2022
Jasnières, Vallee de la Loire
Chenin Blanc from a vineyard about forty years old, with grapes harvested shortly after Bistrologie. They are pressed directly in old barrels for fifteen months of élevage. With an inviting nose of yellow-fleshed fruits and hazelnuts, it matches its soft fruit with a lingering acid line that resonates with rare energy, it has a long life ahead of it!
Jean Pierre Robinot
Jean-Pierre fell in love with wine at the age of 22, thanks to a bottle of "Cheval Blanc 1964" and moved to Paris, met some of the true pioneers of the natural wine movement and later opened one of the first dedicated wine bars "L'Ange Vin." Here he founded France's leading natural wine magazine "Le Rouge et Le Blanc." After 12 years spent running the wine bar and the magazine in the early 2000s he left Paris and moved with his wife Noella to the village where he grew up Chahaignes to start making wine.
After the first vintage spent between the restaurant and the winery, Jean-Pierre decided to sell the wine shop to devote himself heart and soul to his agricultural project, beginning to acquire plots of land around his house and planting vines of Pineau d'Aunis, Chenin Blanc, and Gamay.
