Terra Bassa Bianco 2024 Vino Bianco
Borgo San Lorenzo, Mugello, Firenze
"Terra Bassa Bianco is our intentionally yellow wine!
We manually harvest grapes from vines dating back to the 1970s, mostly golden Trebbiano Toscano and a small part Trebbiano romagnolo, Albana, non-aromatic Malvasia and Canaiolo rosa. Vines loved and cultivated, following the criteria of biodynamic agriculture."
L Orto del Vicino
L'Orto del Vicino is the dream of Leonardo and Anna, who met at university and, over time, envisioned a comprehensive family and agricultural project. Their philosophy is centered on restoration as a way to enhance the local territory, driven by natural methods.
Nestled in the rural landscape of Borgo San Lorenzo, the L'Orto del Vicino winery represents a return to origins filtered through a contemporary and sustainable sensibility. Established with the goal of showcasing the Mugello terroir—an area historically suited for viticulture yet often less celebrated than the Chianti regions—the winery stands out for its meticulous agronomic management that prioritizes biodiversity. Here, the vine is not viewed as an isolated element, but as part of a complex ecosystem where a deep connection to the land translates into a short supply chain production. This approach yields wines that are a faithful reflection of both the vintage and the mineral composition of the local soils.
