Movia 100000 bottles in the cellar

Movia's roots go back to the early 18th century, and the Kristančič family has been taking care of the estate since 1820. The estate covers 30 hectares of which about 25 are planted in vineyards. We are in Brda, the border area between Slovenia and Italy, where the wine-growing districts of Goriška brda and Collio meet.

The "Natural" turning point

In the 1990s the estate was taken over by Ales, who immediately became an exponent of a natural production philosophy. His vinifications, often with long macerations, clarifications and natural filtrations, are the fruit of a collective wisdom acquired and perfected over two centuries of production. This is why Movia's wines are unparalleled in their authenticity and purity of expression.

Prominent among the many labels are "Puro", in its two versions of white and rosé, a unique sparkling wine to be disgorged at the opening; "Lunar," a pure, textural wine with no added sulfites; and finally "Veliko," in its two versions of "Belik" (white) and "Rdeče" (red), Movia's signature wines.
