Thésée, Loir et Cher
As is often the case in the wine world, everything changes/begins with an encounter. In this Case it is the meeting between Nöella Morantin and a professor of viticulture. This is the beginning of Noëlla's adventure in the world of winemaking, which began in 2001.
After leaving her job in marketing, Nöella enrolled in the faculty of viticulture-a change that led her, first in 2004, to work for Domaine Les Bois Lucas, in the Touraine area, in the heart of the Loire Valley, and then in 2008, for Didier Barrouillet of Clos Roche Blanche.
It was from him that his solo adventure began when, in 2009, he decided to lease 8.5 hectares of land. The vineyards are located in Pouille, a small town in the Loire region of France.
Freedom of expression
Freedom is the word that most represents Noëlla: the freedom to choose not to be part of any appellation but to tend its vineyards with infinite love and under a strictly biodynamic regime. On clay soil and limestone rock, plants of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Gamay grow, offering a sublime result.
Even in the winery, her main value persists: she chooses to be free of chemistry and manipulation, with the goal of producing the most natural wine possible, which leads her to achieve great results thanks to her perseverance, but first and foremost thanks to her free choice to follow a pure passion.
