Almari Cantina Urbana was born in Montefiascone in the province of Viterbo, on the volcanic soils of Lake Bolsena in 2023.

It was born from the friendship of Alessandra, Riccardo and Mauro: two vignerons and a maitre sommelier who share the same passion for wine and their land.

Lake Bolsena is the largest volcanic lake in Europe, and on what was once the huge crater a rich farming culture, especially viticulture, has developed for centuries. "Thinking of a joint project that could bring the work and passion for vines and wine to fruition was easy for us."

Young project, clear ideas

The winery is located along the walls of Montefiascone where the tuff cave with constant humidity and temperature brings benefit to the production of a high quality wine.

The project is young but the ideas are clear: to produce a healthy and genuine wine and to do this only estate grapes are used by selecting the best fruits and in the cellar zero selected yeasts, zero added sulfur, zero filtering.
