Chioccioli Altadonna Specialities: Red wine

Chioccioli Altadonna is a family-run winery in the heart of Siena's Chianti Classico region.

Led by winemaker Niccolò and master distiller Enrico, sons of renowned agronomist and oenologist Stefano Chioccioli

The estate includes 8 hectares of vineyards interspersed with olive groves and dense forests of oak and chestnut trees, in an unspoiled and wild setting.

Production is driven by a simple desire: to return to the land to create wines that tell the fantastic terroir of southern Chianti Classico in all its nuances. The mission is to interpret and make their own this extraordinary heritage of nature and culture.

In this sense, nothing more than wine is able to embody the dense and complex universe that is Tuscany. To achieve this, we have placed the vineyard at the center to produce territorial wines with respect for Nature and our viticultural ecosystem.”

Wines that speak the language of elegance. Clean, pure and fun.

The viticultural ecosystem

Greve in Chianti, Gaiole in Chianti, Quercegrossa, represent true complex ecosystems. The soils are unique, with a medium clay texture and rich in marl and alberese. The altitude varies from 300 to 500 meters above sea level.

Each vineyard is surrounded by woods, which, in addition to being home to many different animal and plant species, are a natural barrier, a water reservoir, a temperature mitigating factor and contribute greatly to the quality of the grapes while respecting natural processes.

It is thanks to passionate and meticulous observation and respect for the interaction between the nature of the land and the specific characteristics of the vines, that today we know our plants as if they were our children.

We know every part of them, every characteristic, every facet and every talent. With the goal of respecting and enhancing this extraordinary uniqueness, we harvest the grapes at different times.
