Acinismo is four guys, four winemakers, university classmates, and four producers—but above all, four FRIENDS: Marco, Daniele, Costantino, and Lorenzo.
The goal is as simple as it is profound: to embrace the diversity of every vintage, highlighting its peculiarities and celebrating its unique, unrepeatable nature.
Acinismo is the expression of the berry (l’acino). Acinismo is a "free wine," where all technical knowledge and expertise are brought to the table to minimize human intervention as much as possible, from the vineyard to the cellar.
This is ACINISMO: the elevation of the GRAPE as raw matter.
Acinismo is an itinerant and widespread project; these are "community wines." The project's first two labels are Placato Rosso and Placato Bianco. Placato is the acronym for Progetto LAnga CAnavese TOrino: a two-way street connecting Novello to Val di Chy, passing through Turin.
The Manifesto
The Manifesto "Bottling the purity of the grape: We favor spontaneous fermentations. We choose to add no additives, beyond small quantities of sulfites. We prefer not to filter. But we do not compromise: we demand wines that are clean, precise, and elegant.
Placato Rosso: crafted from a selection of the finest Nebbiolo clusters grown at Daniele’s Mauro Marengo estate. Placato Bianco: crafted from a selection of the finest Erbaluce clusters grown at Costantino’s Valchyara estate.
Production is limited and currently expressed through these two labels alone, but Acinismo is an embryo in constant flux.
