A region that conveys a unique energy: less travelled by tourist routes, where you can still breathe an authentic rurality and life is dictated by agricultural rhythms.
Campo Rombolo 2021 is a Montecucco DOC born in the heart of the Upper Maremma, specifically in Cinigiano, where the mix of altitude (about 330 meters above sea level) and medium-textured soils yields grapes of exceptional balance.
The blend is a tribute to the Maremma tradition, based on Sangiovese (90%) alongside Ciliegiolo (10%), another typical grape. The philosophy is clear and direct: spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts and skin maceration in stainless steel tanks for about 12-15 days, a process that enhances the purity of the fruit.
Upon tasting, it is immediately sincere and ample, dominated by lively notes of fresh red fruit, especially cherry and plum, with a slightly spicy and balsamic frame. The 2021 vintage provides a structure that is both full and harmonious. On the palate, the tannins are present but polished, supported by a pleasant freshness and a persistent finish that invites the next sip. An extremely dynamic red wine.

Le Calle
Una realtà tra mare e montagna, ci troviamo a Cinigiano in alta maremma, a pochi chilometri da Montalcino, all’interno della DOC Montecucco.
Riccardo Catocci ci racconta come fin da ragazzo l’unica cosa che avesse fatto nella vita era stato essere agricoltore, non aveva finito gli studi, per i quali non era particolarmente avvezzo ma, al contrario, ha sempre avuto una sensibilità innata nei confronti della natura e della vita contadina: nei campi, in vigna e tra gli animali. L’unica passione oltre alle attività agricole sono le moto, ne possiede svariate da quelle d’epoca alle moderne, ci disse “concedetemi almeno le moto!”.
