Allergens: contiene solfitiVina Cotar's Merlot is a 2011!!! More than 10 years on the shoulders and not feeling it. In the mouth, it is still bubbling with well-presented yet very polite tannin and above all a lively freshness.
The 7 years in barrel (to which one must add the 2.5 years in bottle) has made the wine evolve, which, together with a ripe but still bright fruit, expresses deep notes of undergrowth, leather, dark spices and dried flowers.
Tasting this wine is an experience, a journey to a faraway land.

Vina Cotar
The Čotar family farm with vineyard, winery and house is located in the western part of the Karst near the village of Gorjansko, just 5 km from the sea. The plateau between the Vipava Valley and the Gulf of Trieste is a landscape filled with passions, where the natural elements seem to be untamable, hard rocks, lashing wind, rushing sun and the presence of the sea mitigating the harshness of the landscape.
