Chianti Classico DOCG 2020
San Casciano in Val di Pesa, Firenze
A blend of Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo, the grapes are harvested and vinified together.
This is a wine with a sunny character in which the perfectly calibrated aging between wood barrels and cement allows Silvio Messana's desire to give an approachable, fruit-centered version of Chianti Classico to shine through, but without falling into banal tasting.
Balanced and elegant in which one perceives a definite tannic trace and an acidity that promises good evolution over time.

Silvio Messana is a difficult character to describe in a few lines. In his life a thousand travels and experiences have led him to develop a deep sensitivity to music as an art form and viticulture. He was born in Florence but immediately the family moved to North Africa where he remained until the age of 18.
Upon returning to Italy, the family began to take care of a piece of land planted with vines in San Casciano in Val di Pesa, on the outskirts of the Chianti Classico region, and he began to develop a passion for music: here began another important chapter in his life that saw him move to Boston to Berkley University to study music with a special predilection for the saxophone.
His subsequent move to New York marks his first definitive contact with wine. In fact, he works as a composer of soundtracks but also as a wine salesman for top import agencies of artisanal wines.
