Demian 2021 Vino Rosato
Bolzano, Alto Adige
Demian is a Lagrein Rosé that grows on the steep slopes of the Renon plateau, north of Bolzano.
The grapes for this particular wine are harvested in two passes: the first is a slightly early harvest to bring more freshness to the winery, these grapes are pressed directly in a soft manner. The second pass involves a harvest with fully ripe grapes, which are destemmed and left to macerate on skins for 3 days before being crushed.
The result is a crisp, lively rosé with a color tending toward brick and a very perfumed nose: blackberry, red currant, graphite and orange peel. A rich and pungent bouquet that preludes to a vibrant and rhythmic taste. In the mouth it is dry all about fruit and structure that enhances a respectable density, with a gentle but present extraction. This seems to be the marker of Martin's wines, a tactile density absolutely typical throughout the range.
