Oenologist Sebastian Nasello and the team like to call it their 'naked' Sangiovese, thanks to the pure varietal energy it expresses in the glass through essential vinification and steel ageing.

The first rosé ever produced at Podere Le Ripi completes the trilogy of drinkable wines together with Canna Torta and Attenti al Lupo, a new way of interpreting Montalcino, which we love without ifs and buts. Cappuccetto Rosa is a fresh and very young but at the same time serious wine, in which the short maceration nevertheless gives a very interesting structure to the drink. The early harvesting of the Sangiovese enhanced the intensity and savouriness of the grapes. Juicy but dry, with notes of cherries and nuances of cranberry.

Podere Le Ripi

Podere le Ripi was established in 1984 from Francesco Illy's dream of creating a sustainable reality in Montalcino where beauty and naturalness were the main principles of the project. We are located on the eastern slope of Montalcino near Castelnuovo dell'Abate, with an extension of 60 hectares divided into forest, vineyard, olive groves, pastureland for a small livestock farm and a synergistic vegetable garden.

An uncontaminated soil with a wonderful plant biodiversity, in 1999 the first plantings and in 2011 the conversion to biodynamic agriculture.
