Il Torchio
Six hectares of vineyards all close together, starting at the bottom and reaching halfway up the hill, at the foot of the village of Castelnuovo Magra (Sp). The winery belonged to Giorgio Tendola, grandfather of the current young owners Gilda and Edoardo Musetti. After his death, the two siblings decided to retire it and go on producing wine. They literally rolled up their sleeves and divided the tasks: Gilda, a law graduate, is responsible for the commercial and administrative side but also for the care in the vineyard, while Edo, as he is called in the family, takes care of production and the field!
For some time now, Giulia, a talented vigneron who helps out in all stages of production, has also been part of the team.
Blend tradizionale di Vermentino e aromatici
Nella zona dei colli di Luni è da sempre stata una tradizione quella di avere delle piccole parcelle di "aromatici" in campo per dare spalla al Vermentino e domare la sua nota amarognola di mandorla che lascia sempre nel finale. In questa cuvèe si è voluto accentuare al massimo questa usanza creando un vino con tutti gli aromatici e il Vermentino "a riempimento". Quando la tradizione diventa nuova via!
All'assaggio
Colore ambrato abbastanza chiaro, con note di albicocca, marmellata di arance, fiori di campo, miele e una speziatura di chiodi di garofano. Una buona freschezza donata dal Vermentino che si completa con le note più morbide degli aromatici. Un vino veramente coinvolgente e smorfioso!
