Calafata's Gronda is a sunny, springtime wine. Fragrant classic blend from the hills of Lucca. In central Tuscany both white and red wine was never single varietal and in this area in particular,in the vineyard along with so-called neutral varieties are typically found aromatic varieties.
The result in winemaking is a varied and complex aromatic character in a vibrant alchemy of different ripeness and acidity, requiring great skill on the part of the winemaker.
In the eaves the richness of sensations that are felt on the nose and palate never becomes heavy, rather the drinking is quick and fluid, a sign of a wine in perfect balance in all its components: fresh acidity, very slight tannin given by a short maceration, sweet notes of citrus, spices and herbs, along with an iodine note that acts as a binder.
Savory closure, for a simple wine but with a strong character!

Questa citazione di Jean Jono ben spiega l'obbiettivo che sospinge il progetto "Calafata": un luogo di progettazione e di lavoro che cerca di tenere insieme l’amore e la cura per i luoghi, con percorsi di inclusione lavorativa e crescita relazionale per persone in condizioni di marginalità e svantaggio.
