This is a revolutionary reinterpretation of an extraordinary grape variety. From the heart of San Gimignano comes a Vxxxxcxxa in an "orange" style that you’ve truly never experienced before. It's a spectacular glass that makes it clear just how much this grape has to say about its territory through a more traditional vinification method. The long maceration on the skins is an inherently audacious move, but in this case, it’s essential to allow the variety to express itself in a completely new light.

This wine stands out for its strong identity: it possesses a decisive character, energy, and complexity that give it a unique and pronounced personality. On the palate, it’s vibrant, savory (sapido), and persistent, resulting in something wonderfully unpredictable.

The winemakers, Alessandro and Simona, have been practicing natural farming since 2011, and the result is a range of consistently solid and expressive wines.

Don't miss out on a bottle of Torbo: your curiosity will be richly rewarded!

From the producer

Alessandro Tofanari

Nestled in the rolling hills overlooking the towers of San Gimignano, the La Castellaccia estate represents the very essence of artisanal Tuscan viticulture. Under the passionate guidance of Alessandro Tofanari and Simona Orsini, the winery has embraced a path of profound respect for the land, adopting organic and biodynamic principles. Here, the connection to the terroir is not just a slogan but a daily practice: the goal is to produce wines that serve as "liquid photographs" of the vintage and the soil, eschewing invasive interventions to let nature take its course both in the vineyard and the cellar.
