Malvasia in Bosa has always been processed in the oxidative style, and little does it matter if in the recent past other winemaking methods are contemplated by the appellation, for Piero Carta the only Malvasia in the territory is aged in drained barrels, with the help of Flor.

His personal story seems to accompany the tasting of this wine, in an interweaving of emotions and sensory experiences as pure as they are sharp and elegant. Yes, because in a glass of "Filet" one finds the geography of the place, with the iodized marine notes, the helichrysum and thyme, the Mediterranean scrub, the freshness of the fruit and finally as a binder, precisely the oxidative notes that inexplicably make the sip even lighter and more dynamic. A great hand that of Piero who gives us from year to year a sunny wine that tastes of memory!

Cantina Carta

Officially established in 2017, Cantina Carta actually hides a much longer history that begins in 1980 with the purchase of half a hectare of vineyard in Bosa, an enchanting medieval village in central-western Sardinia and cradle of the eponymous Malvasia, a traditional oxidative wine and a very rare pearl of Sardinian winemaking.

At that time Piero Carta was only five years old, but his future as a winemaker took shape right then by seeing his grandfather working in the countryside and helping his father between the rows during weekends and summers.
