Predominantly Pinot Grigio, together with Chardonnay and Malvasia Istriana. From an old family vineyard in San Floriano del Collio (in Slovenian ‘Steverjan’, hence the name of the wine). The planting dates back to the 1960s/70s and the different varieties are co-planted. The terraces are dotted with fruit trees and surrounded by woods.

Mixed vinification with maceration, fermentation and ageing in cement, steel and barriques for at least 11 months before bottling. The wine rests a further 6 months in bottle before release. Another rare pearl from Nikolas, who in recent years has accustomed us to wines that are deep and never ordinary.

From the producer

Nikolas Juretic

Nikolas has been in the world of wine for many years: he was born into a family of winemakers, then his studies in oenology followed by various experiences in different wineries, and finally his collaboration with Simonit & Sirch, which led him to deepen his knowledge of vine breeding throughout Europe and the world.

In 2018, he started his own production, with his family's grapes: he settled in a winery close to home, in Cormons in Collio Friulano, where he uses the grapes that were previously sold, to produce fantastic wines with traditional and artisanal methods. He can rely on the help of his parents, Elena and Robert, to run the vineyards, while cellar choices and operations are entirely up to him. The plots are located in Cormons in the "cru" of Montona, Pradis and Bosc di Sot.
