Enoz - Masseria Torricella

Sessa Aurunca, Caserta
Enoz is an anagram of owner Roberto Zeno's surname.
The farm is located in the territory of the municipality of Sessa Aurunca in the heart of Campania Felix and in particular of the Ager Falernus that extended to Capua. The soils are located on the slopes of the extinct volcanic complex of Roccamonfina. The loose soils of volcanic origin are ideal for vines, which have been cultivated here since ancient times. These are the lands of Falerno the most prized wine for the Romans.
In 2013 Roberto decided to leave a corporate job in Naples to buy the masseria and renovate both the surrounding countryside and the housing structures that were practically in ruins. Today the property covers about 22 hectares, 5 of which are dedicated to vineyards while the remainder are used for olive groves, wheat and legumes.
Volcanic wines with memories of the sea
The Primitivo, Fiano and Falanghina vineyards are certified organic and practice biodynamic principles. The winery was created in a beautiful tufa cave and all wines are aged in terracotta amphorae. The resulting wines are fresh and joyful, crystal clear expressions that speak of this volcanic land on the edge of the sea.
