Colle Jano was founded in 2016 as a family business dedicated to the cultivation of vines, olive trees, fruit and vegetables, aromatic herbs and the breeding of bees and low court animals.

7 hectares located near Cupramontana, in an area vocated for the cultivation of Verdicchio.

Giulia and Filippo 's goal is the recovery of historic vineyards in the area and the enhancement of ancient varieties of Verdicchio, through the use of conservation farming techniques.

A recovered vineyard

Despite the fact that the vineyards were in a state of neglect, Giulia and Filippo bet on their recovery, working on a physiologically efficient and functional form of training.

“With pleasant amazement we noticed that in the areas of the vineyard with a greater sandy component, free-range specimens thrive that our predecessors replicated by means of the offshoot technique.

We are proud of our choices that are clearly against the normal logic of agronomic management, as our efforts have allowed us to revive a small important heritage in the Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi wine-growing scene.”
