Mas Gomà is located in the Penedès region, an area renowned for the production of high-quality sparkling wines, about 50 km west of Barcelona.

The winery is managed by father and son (Joan Manel and Joan Vendrell) with a very clear philosophy: "Our way of life is to achieve the maximum expression of high-quality grapes with minimal intervention in the cellar, without tricks, without sulfites. We let the grapes express themselves naturally each year, without limits and outside the box, trying new experiments every year to obtain new possible expressions of our native varieties.

We create natural wines, living wines as our grandparents, Joan and Maria, did a few decades ago when they made wine on our Mas Gomà estate. We return to the past to build the future."

The Vendrell Family

Five generations of the Vendrell family have worked the farm at Mas Gomà in les Cabanyes, in the heart of the Penedès region.

Upon the death of grandfather Joan, his very young uncle Pere took over the management of the estate, learning day by day thanks to his talent, dedication, and passion. Today, his son Eloi, together with his father, have taken a further step forward.

In recent years, several native grape varieties have been recovered, and biodynamic practices have been introduced after many years of organic farming. The work is mostly manual, and for the organic management of the vineyard, various natural elements and plants present on the estate are used, such as silicon, horsetail, thyme, nettle, and many others.

The goal is to work sustainably to leave future generations a healthier vineyard and living soil, which hosts all the biodiversity and organic matter it would naturally possess.
