Marcel Vino

San Cassiano, Alba
Marcel Vino is a fascinating 'micro-project' born from the passion of Marcel Vouciuc and Mariana Clavera in Alba, the heart of the Langa region. Over the years, Marcel gained significant experience in the wine world, notably during his time at Ceretto. In 2022, he decided to launch his own project focused on Nebbiolo.
He is driven by a quest for 'old-school' winemaking: spontaneous fermentations, no carbonic maceration, no whole-cluster fermentation, and no infusions. His goal is to deliver a sincere tribute to the land and the history of Langa in every glass. With a production of just under 1,000 bottles per year, the result is a wine that is honest, bright, and light—true to the finest Langa tradition.
Traditional Langhe DOC
Only 800 bottles are produced annually. This was Marcel’s vision for the first harvests; as for the future, we shall see.
Driven by a strong sense of freedom, the goal is to create a straightforward wine from Nebbiolo grapes that truly reflect the vintage. It is an interpretation we admire: reclaiming tradition—free from unnecessary frills or superstructures—within a very modern concept of drinkability.
The wine ferments in stainless steel and spends a brief period in wood (1 to 3 months), resulting in a deeply authentic Langa profile. It offers pleasure, fruit extract, and volume, with a finish as long as the sip is effortless.
