The Winery Ghëddo embodies its vision within its very name. "Ghëddo" is a Piedmontese expression that evokes flair, creativity, and determination. A very young winery founded in 2017 by two friends, Giovanni and Mattia, they are united by a simple common vision: to transform this wine-growing estate based in La Morra into a place where viticulture is interpreted as an act of absolute dedication to the Langhe hills.

The project was born from the desire to translate the energy and vibrancy of the land into the bottle, focusing on an artisanal management style that places the winemaker at the center as the custodian of the land. Every production stage—from the meticulous care of the rows to the cellar decisions in Monforte d’Alba—is guided by the desire to enhance the authentic identity of each vintage, maintaining a deep bond with local traditions and a fresh, dynamic approach.

A New Project in the Historic Barolo Crus

The beating heart of Ghëddo is the field. In fact, the vineyards are located in the prestigious crus of La Morra and Monforte d’Alba, where Nebbiolo finds its ultimate expression of elegance and verticality. The winery's philosophy promotes a careful and non-invasive viticulture, characterized by precision and few targeted interventions.

In the cellar, work is carried out with full respect for the raw materials, ensuring wines of great identity and refinement. The production focuses on labels capable of conveying the complexity of the terroir through a harmonious palate and an elegant structure, paying tribute to the nobility of Barolo and the versatility of the area's other historic grape varieties.
