Grape variety: Nebbiolo

Vinification: Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, and the skins are left to macerate for 10 days in contact with the wine. Malolactic fermentation takes place in November, immediately after alcoholic fermentation.

Aging: large 20hl French oak casks for approximately 10 months and then in bottles.

Serving temperature: 16-20° C

This 100% Nebbiolo maintains a surprising freshness and verticality, despite the 2022 vintage being characterized by a particularly hot and dry climate.

The grapes come from vineyards located between La Morra and Roddino; the latter, situated at higher altitudes (approx. 600 m a.s.l.), explains the wine's great vibrancy even in warm years.

On the palate, the wine is energetic and vibrant. The entry is soft but immediately supported by a distinct acidity and fine, sharp tannins typical of these soils. The finish is persistent and dry, leaving a pleasant refreshing sensation that invites a second sip.

Gheddo

The Winery Ghëddo embodies its vision within its very name. "Ghëddo" is a Piedmontese expression that evokes flair, creativity, and determination. A very young winery founded in 2017 by two friends, Giovanni and Mattia, they are united by a simple common vision: to transform this wine-growing estate based in La Morra into a place where viticulture is interpreted as an act of absolute dedication to the Langhe hills.

The project was born from the desire to translate the energy and vibrancy of the land into the bottle, focusing on an artisanal management style that places the winemaker at the center as the custodian of the land. Every production stage—from the meticulous care of the rows to the cellar decisions in Monforte d’Alba—is guided by the desire to enhance the authentic identity of each vintage, maintaining a deep bond with local traditions and a fresh, dynamic approach.
