Barolo Paiagallo 2022 DOCG
Barolo, Cuneo
100% Nebbiolo from 1.5 ha located in the Paiagallo cru situated between 300 and 400 metres above sea level. Paiagallo is an important Additional Geographical Mention in the commune of Barolo, a fairly homogeneous cru, mainly facing south-east, between La Morra and the hamlet of Annunziata, which is distinguished by its gentle, rounded relief. Here, on soils of marl and sand, Giovanni's vines grow, with a south-eastern exposure. Thanks to the pedoclimatic characteristics found in this area, they provide the basis for wines of great structure and aromatic intensity and marked elegance.
Giovanni is an artist, his Barolo is aged in 20 hl oak barrels for about 3 years. The result is a fresh, elegant and velvety wine. Despite the alcohol content, it manages to have a unique grace and longevity that will make it last for many years. A wine that cannot be found. About 6000 bottles produced.
