Grape variety: Marzemino

Vinification: A portion of the grapes is harvested and placed to dry. While the rest complete ripening in the vineyard. The wine harvested from the grapes with natural ripening. It is refermented with the grapes left to dry.

Aging: 12 months in large barrels. Also using cherry wood. Final aging in bottle for about one year.

Serving temperature: 16-18° C

Marzemino 100%, one of the native varieties used by Eugenio for his wines. Not an easy grape to raise given its sensitivity to powdery mildew, but if vinified in purity it can give wines of some depth and character as in this case.

On the palate it is a structured wine with good persistence and soft tannins. A mouth wine with notes of ripe black cherries and cocoa, a good balsamicity and an underlying purity that indicates an excellent capacity for aging.
