Producer: Domaine Nöella Morantin
Côt a Côt 2021
Thésée, Loir et Cher
A cuvée of Côt 100%, also known as Malbec in other regions. From 30-year-old organically grown vines planted in the commune of Pouillé on clay soils.
One of Nöella's most complex and flavorful wines. On tasting, it reveals a nose of red fruits, cocoa, cinnamon and prune. On the palate, this wine remains surprisingly smooth and fresh, with a good texture that makes it long and complex.
Domaine Nöella Morantin
As is often the case in the wine world, everything changes/begins with an encounter. In this Case it is the meeting between Nöella Morantin and a professor of viticulture. This is the beginning of Noëlla's adventure in the world of winemaking, which began in 2001.
After leaving her job in marketing, Nöella enrolled in the faculty of viticulture-a change that led her, first in 2004, to work for Domaine Les Bois Lucas, in the Touraine area, in the heart of the Loire Valley, and then in 2008, for Didier Barrouillet of Clos Roche Blanche.
It was from him that his solo adventure began when, in 2009, he decided to lease 8.5 hectares of land. The vineyards are located in Pouille, a small town in the Loire region of France.
