A Cirò red all about fruit, savoriness and structure, an appealing flavor balance that makes you want to finish the bottle in a heartbeat. Francesco makes this pure Gaglioppo from hillside vineyards in the classic Cirò area. Spontaneous fermentation with maceration on the skins for 4 days macerated 4 days and aging in steel for 24 months.

Subtle wine so much it's elegant and characterful, ruby in color with slight orange reflections due to the long aging. Warm mouthfeel typical of a southern wine, a full matter thanks to a smooth tannin and a nice freshness in the background.

'A Vita vignaioli a Cirò

The project of 'A Vita is identified with Francesco de Franco and Laura Violino. Francesco was born as an architect and after 20 years working between Tuscany and L'Emila he decided to return to his land in Cirò Marina to take care of the family vineyards.

In 2008 he began with this ambitious project, to rethink the production of wine in its areas of origin according to a "cleaner" philosophy in respect of the vineyard and the environment and to restore luster to a variety: the Gaglioppo, an indigenous vine with a very long tradition.

8 ha, four organically conducted vineyards overlooking the shores of the Ionian Sea, between the sea and the Sila mountains. Copper and sulfur used sparingly. Green manure and reduced tillage to preserve fertility and encourage soil biodiversity.
