From Nebbiolo grapes planted on the calcareous and sandy soils of the Tre Stelle vineyard in Barbaresco. It ferments with the skins for three weeks before being transferred to Slavonian oak barrels (10-20 HL) for 18 months.

The 2022 was a very hot and dry vintage, which led the vines to water stress and a slightly early harvest. Despite this, the wine is fresh, elegant, and harmonious, although in our opinion, it is more accessible in the medium term. The Tre Stelle Terroir, with its rocky substrate, led the plants to seek a vegetative balance in the vineyard, with development stopping prematurely (demonstrated by the contained alcohol level of 13.5% Vol.).

On the palate, there are elegant and classic notes of rose and violet, red forest fruits like raspberries, wild strawberries, currants, and a fresh, mineral vein. The tannins are lively and silky, but overall, the wine remains surprisingly "feminine"—certainly of great character, but of undoubted fineness and lightness. It is a very drinkable wine that doesn't tire the palate, enjoyable even when young, but with a little bottle age, it will stretch out even further in the glass.

Cascina delle Rose

Cascina delle Rose si trova nella Valle del Rio Sordo a Barbaresco. Questa tenuta di 5,5 ettari è gestita da Giovanna Rizzolio e Italo Sorbino e dai loro figli Riccardo e Davide. Come suggerisce il nome, le rose sono infatti onnipresenti in azienda e nei vigneti. A conduzione familiare dal 1948, ma è solo dopo che Giovanna è subentrata nel 1992 che si è cominciato ad imbottigliare e vendere con l'etichetta Cascina delle Rose.
