The ambition of this cuvèe is to restore as truthfully as possible the specific character of the wines produced on the Béru hill. It is a blend of the different plots of the estate, whose common points are mainly the altitude, the northern location of the Chablis vineyards and the strong presence of Kimmeridgian limestone in the soils.

The long aging on fine lees in wooden vats further accentuates the purity of expression of the place; balance, subtle pulp of white fruits stand out in the glass as constants in the tasting.

Chateau de Beru

The beautiful Château de Bèru is located in the village of the same name, in the heart of Chablis, which has always been a perfect land for the cultivation of Chardonnay, the climate and history attest. The de Béru family has owned the historic domaine since 1627. At Château de Beru, vines have always been cultivated as the main source of income until the phylloxera epidemic of the 20th century: from that moment on, the vineyard was abandoned until 1987, when Count Éric de Béru replanted the entire vineyard in the historic family plots, a choice made both to safeguard the history of the place, where vines had been cultivated since the 1200s, and because of his great passion for wine. In this great work of recovery, Éric also restored the famous "Clos Béru," a legendary vineyard bordered by the centuries-old dry stone wall built by Benedictine monks in the 1300s to demarcate an area particularly suited for high-quality production.
