Ancarani is a family-run winery located in the village of Santa Lucia, a small hillside hamlet of Faenza in deep Romagna. It was established in 1934 when grandfather Delmo bought the first hectares of land, which were then handed down to the next generations with time to protect them and share their history.

Today, the winery is managed by Claudio Ancarani and his wife Rita, who together personally take care of all aspects, from the field to marketing. The vineyards are mainly located on the hill of Oriolo cultivated with the native grape varieties of the tradition: Sangiovese, Trebbiano, Albana, Famoso, Centesimino.

Respect, work and expressiveness

The production philosophy has always aimed to protect the values of biodiversity and sustainability, paying close attention to the fragile balance of the surrounding ecosystem.

In the winery, processing is reduced to a minimum, long macerations and reduced use of sulfur so as to transfer all the typical characteristics of the varieties into every single bottle, in the safeguarding of the expression of the territory.
