G&T (Ex Gin & Tonic) is a wine composed of Rhine Riesling and a smaller part of Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Blanc, all from the Stará Hora vineyard in the village of Moravský Žižkov a micro-location where loess is mixed with sand. In particular, the loess has special characteristics because formed by the action of wind and glaciers, it is a mineral-rich soil of good fertility and great draining capacity, that is, the vine must seek water deeper and this stressful condition for the plant translates into fruit quality.

These characteristics help to create one of Nestarec's most appreciated wines, because it manages on tasting to perfectly balance great depth, minerality structure and good body.

Old vines and slow maturation give this wine extraordinary finesse and energy.

Milan Nestarec

The farm is located in the picturesque landscape of South Moravia. Among dirt roads, rural hamlets and ancient abbeys. Here, space is found for 94% of all the hectares under vine in the Czech Republic. The predominantly flat soils, which occasionally give way to slight undulations, and a continental climate, characterized by cool, rainy summers and dry, cold winters, make the area more than conducive to viticulture.

It all started in 2001 when Milan's father planted 8 hectares of vines in the two wine-growing municipalities-Moravský Žižkov and Velké Bílovice. Milan studied enology with Aleš Kristančič of Movia with whom he learned a lot about the delicate art of making white wines fermented on skins.
