Rotalier, Cotes du Jura
Peggy is a farmer with a dominant character, proud of her land, alongside Jean Pascal, her husband and life partner since she was 20. They own 4.6 hectares of vineyards in Rotalier and have a story waiting to be told.
After working in Rotalier with Jean François Ganevat and the Labet family, Peggy managed to find less than one hectare of her own vineyard in 2000, from which she could start her own project. Since then, they haven't stopped for a second to realize their dream: living in nature with bees, horses, vineyards, and a vegetable garden.
Wines with an Untamed Character
They have always sought out old vines grown using massal selection to maintain biodiversity. Today, they produce a beautiful variety of white and red wines, from the most classic to blends of native grapes with a unique character, like the Se kwa sa?! (What is it?!).
The starting point, however, remains true organic farming, a deep understanding of the soils, and a desire to preserve the local ampelographic heritage of old vines, even at the cost of declassifying the wines from the appellation.
Peggy's wines come from a large area of the region, but what is striking is her desire to constantly improve, to understand herself and her land.
