Poulsard 2023
Rotalier, Cotes du Jura
From a mass selection of Poulsard grapes from a plot of less than 1 hectare planted in 1947 on limestone scree and marl. A special vineyard where the plants yield very little.
Poulsard is the lightest of the red wines from the Jura, its color is pale and on both the nose and palate it recalls ripe wild berries. This one in particular, given the characteristics of the vineyard, starts fruity, juicy, incredibly inviting, and light on the first sip. Upon contact with oxygen in the glass, an incredible texture slowly emerges, making it wonderfully open and stimulating.
A very enjoyable drink, because it combines a certain drinkability with power, a rather consistent and concentrated structure with an captivating fullness. The tannin is very fine and resonates more in the background. Lots of fruit, many wild berries, spicy and ripe raspberry and strawberry. An excellent wine for an aperitif or to toast the summer with friends!

Domaine Buronfosse
Peggy is a farmer with a dominant character, proud of her land, alongside Jean Pascal, her husband and life partner since she was 20. They own 4.6 hectares of vineyards in Rotalier and have a story waiting to be told.
After working in Rotalier with Jean François Ganevat and the Labet family, Peggy managed to find less than one hectare of her own vineyard in 2000, from which she could start her own project. Since then, they haven't stopped for a second to realize their dream: living in nature with bees, horses, vineyards, and a vegetable garden.
