Gabriele Morra Specialities: Red wine

Gabriele Morra is a young winery, born in 2013 from the meeting of two friends, Gabriele Testa and Stefano Campaniello, born in 1981 and 1983, respectively. Gabriele Morra was the grandfather of the first of the two; he had taken over one of those old, traditional Piedmontese wineries years ago.

The boys met through Stefano's work, in the restaurant business for as long as they can remember; he was a dining room manager at a restaurant that had Gabriele as a client.

The passion for wine and the affinity of both of them for bottles of natural production philosophy led them over time to embark on this adventure together in a perfect mix. Gabriele who loves to spend his time working the vineyard and helping the soil maintain its balance; in the winery Stefano has clear ideas, working with long fermentations, concrete tanks and oak barrels with the goal of having territorial wines.

A clear agricultural manifesto

"Our winery was born from the desire, developed over the years, to cultivate old vines and succeed in producing great wines through our passion, knowledge of the wine world and the practice of biodynamics.

Pruning and tilling of the soil are marked by the phases of the moon, phytosanitary defense is entrusted only to copper, sulfur and natural preparations; autumn green manures composed of legumes, grasses and cruciferous plants (mustard) allow us to enrich the soil with natural organic matter and increase biodiversity by encouraging the presence of beneficial insects.

All this to be able to bring our healthy grapes to maturity and to allow us to make wine without the use of correctives and chemicals."
