Producer: Gabriele Morra
Barbaresco DOCG 2022
Macellai, Alba, Cuneo
Barbaresco that comes from grapes from the two cru Ovello and Santo Stefano. Selection of grapes with vines that in many cases are over 60 years old.
The Nebbiolo here while having the depth and charisma of the appellation, has a bright soul punctuated by sweet ripe red fruits, notes of herbs, sweet spices, cocoa and roots.
In the mouth it is dynamically elegant and flowing despite a great structure.
Gabriele Morra
Gabriele Morra is a young winery, born in 2013 from the meeting of two friends, Gabriele Testa and Stefano Campaniello, born in 1981 and 1983, respectively. Gabriele Morra was the grandfather of the first of the two; he had taken over one of those old, traditional Piedmontese wineries years ago.
The boys met through Stefano's work, in the restaurant business for as long as they can remember; he was a dining room manager at a restaurant that had Gabriele as a client.
The passion for wine and the affinity of both of them for bottles of natural production philosophy led them over time to embark on this adventure together in a perfect mix. Gabriele who loves to spend his time working the vineyard and helping the soil maintain its balance; in the winery Stefano has clear ideas, working with long fermentations, concrete tanks and oak barrels with the goal of having territorial wines.
