Castaldi Francesca Specialities: Red wine

Nestled in the landscape of Briona, the winery of Francesca and Marco acts as a guardian of Alto Piemonte, interpreting viticulture as a harmonious dialogue with the environment. Across their 8 hectares in the Colline Novaresi, nature dictates the rules: although certified in integrated pest management, the farming spontaneously evolves into a biological regime whenever the vintage allows, minimizing human intervention. Here, the work consists of ancient gestures: the vines are tended exclusively by hand, respecting the plant's natural timing through to the manual harvest.

Wines of character from Alto Piemonte

In the cellar, the philosophy is one of "minimal intervention" to allow the native grape varieties — Nebbiolo, Vespolina, and Uva Rara — to express their most authentic voice. The production processes follow the soul of the grape: from short macerations that preserve the vibrant fragrance of the fruit and spontaneous fermentations, to the historic submerged cap techniques, where time and prolonged contact extract the profound essence of Fara DOC. The skillful use of steel, concrete, and wood does not serve to "build" the wine, but rather to accompany it along its natural maturation path, respecting the unique identity of every single vintage.
