This is the entry-level red wine from Collecapretta's red wine line. It's a juicy and crisp Sangiovese with a particularly sunny, fruity character. A slightly early harvest, short maceration, and the choice of concrete all contribute to a flavor profile whose main characteristic is a fast and satisfying drinkability.

A perfect example of a summer red! Bravo.

Collecapretta

Collecapretta is a small farm located in southern Umbria, on the Colli Martani at an altitude of about 500 meters above sea level. The Mattioli family, owners of the land and the farm, has set the production philosophy on a closed-cycle agricultural model, so there is an animal farm for the production of cheese and salami, a cereal crop for the production of flour and fodder, a part of forest and about 5 hectares of vineyards from which they produce 11 labels of wine.

The environment is perfect for the production of high quality wines: the climate is tempered by the proximity of the Apennine chain on which the Gran Sasso towers in the distance, this presence always guarantees fresh air currents that balance the ripening of the grapes especially in the hot season. The soils are a mix of clay rich in calcium and iron with outcrops of tuff and travertine limestone.
