Producer: Laura Aillaud
Terre A Terre 2023 Vin De France
La Tour d'Aigues, Luberon
Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault: an homage to the South of France and simplicity, as the name suggests.
A wine with contagious drinkability, produced using essential vinification to maintain its extraordinary varietal freshness intact.
On the palate, it is straightforward and immediate, with a nose of red fruits like raspberry and cherry, and a hint of spice and garrigue (Mediterranean scrub). In the mouth, it is a genuine fruit squeeze, with an agile, slender sip thanks to an acidity that makes it extremely smooth and flowing.
The tannins are almost imperceptible; it is perfect to drink chilled as an aperitif, or to kick off an evening with lifelong friends.
Laura Aillaud
Laura Aillaud is currently one of the most interesting and respected winemakers in the Luberon. Hers is a beautiful story, involving a life change dictated by deep passion. A talented sommelier, she chose to leave the restaurant industry to dedicate herself to wine production and agricultural life."
"Her turning point came in 2017, the year she settled in La Tour d'Aigues, a very interesting area where the vineyards of Provence meet those of the Rhône Valley. After obtaining a degree in viticulture and oenology, Laura refined her craft by working alongside some of the most prominent natural wine producers, such as Jean-Christophe Comor of Les Terres Promises, gaining profound experience in organic vineyard management and a minimal-intervention approach in the cellar. Today, she diligently manages about 5 hectares of vineyard, paying almost maniacal attention to soil health, which is rarely ploughed and, when necessary, only with the use of a horse, so as not to disturb the ecosystem and the vitality of the earth.
