Grape variety: Canaiolo, Sangiovese

Vinification: Destemmed grapes without crushing, spontaneous fermentation with semi-carbonic maceration for 2-3 days (to highlight the fruity component typical of Sangiovese in clay soil) and traditional maceration for an additional 10 days. Racking with light pressing.

Aging: in steel tank for 6 months and at least 2 months in bottle

Serving temperature: 15-18° C

Summer is the former Rosso IGT with some updates in the winemaking process. The grapes, 90% Sangiovese and 10% Canaiolo Nero, come from the 55-year-old vineyard covering 1 hectare and the 12-year-old new vineyard covering 0.5 hectares.

A Tuscan wine to the core, where the fruity side of Sangiovese grown on clay soils is tempered by a short maceration to extract a tannin that is still crunchy and more austere. A wine of great drinkability and freshness, perfect to be enjoyed even in the summer.
