Producer: Antoine Lienhardt
Fixin Village 2023
Comblanchien, Cote de nuits, Bourgogne
Antoine Lienhardt’s Fixin is an extraordinary expression of how 'new Burgundy' is reinterpreting appellations historically considered 'rustic.' Although the Domaine’s home base is in Comblanchien, Antoine has skillfully extended his sensibility northward, approaching the limestone and clay soils of Fixin with the aim of stripping away their proverbial austerity to reveal their hidden elegance. 2023, a vintage characterized by radiant luminosity and pinpoint precision, allowed this wine to find a perfect balance between the earthy structure typical of the appellation and the crystalline purity of the fruit.
In the cellar, Antoine’s hand is nearly invisible: whole-cluster vinification (vendange entière) infuses the Pinot Noir with a floral freshness and a silky tannic texture, avoiding excessive extraction.
Antoine Lienhardt
Domaine Antoine Lienhardt, situated in the heart of Comblanchien within the prestigious Côte de Nuits, represents the contemporary evolution of a family legacy dating back to the 19th century. Antoine, a fourth-generation winemaker, took over the estate in 2011 after gaining diverse and significant experience in Chablis, Chambolle-Musigny, and South Africa, driven by the ambitious goal of elevating Comblanchien’s terroirs to the status they deserve. Joined in 2017 by his sister Héloïse, he has turned the domaine’s wines into a benchmark for those seeking extraordinary verticality and purity, honoring the old vines planted by his grandfather Maurice with a dedication that blends respect for heritage with a pioneering vision for the future of viticulture in Burgundy.
