Cultivating Pinot Noir—a notoriously fragile and demanding variety—at an altitude of 920 meters represents a true challenge. In this mountainous area of Southern Lazio, surrounded by woods and chestnut groves, the deep soils rich in red clay and calcareous skeleton impart a distinct minerality. Furthermore, the sharp diurnal temperature variations between day and night allow the fruit to ripen very slowly, preserving a bright acidity and developing an aromatic profile of rare elegance.

On the nose, it expresses itself through a profile dominated by crisp small red fruits, such as redcurrant and wild strawberry, intertwined with hints of wild herbs and subtle earthy notes. The palate reveals an extraordinarily agile drinkability, supported by a tense freshness and linear yet subtle tannins. It is a wine that makes verticality, savoriness, and elegance its absolute strengths.

Fra i Monti è il progetto che vede la realizzazione dei sogni di Rocco Toti e Benedetto Leone due giovani appassionati di vino, che nel 2018 decidono di recuperare alcuni vecchi vigneti situati a Terelle a circa 1000 metri di altitudine, nella Valle di Comino tra i monti della ciociaria.
