Scandelara
Scandelara is a project born from the Castel Arienti farm, founded in the 1980s and located in the Pianoro area of the Bolognese hills. This 52-hectare estate features wooded areas, two small lakes, grazing meadows, a small section of arable land, and two vineyards totaling 3.5 hectares. The young owner, Mattia Donini, after studying oenology and gaining experience in some of the world's most important wine regions (including Argentina, New Zealand, and Burgundy), decided to return home to give the estate a new direction and offer his own wines. So far, it's a gamble that has undeniably paid off!
La mano in cantina
In campo si devono fare i salti mortali tra selezione dei grappoli e giusta maturazione per ottenere in vendemmia un equilibrio pressoché perfetto. Dove con perfetto non si è alla ricerca di un valore assoluto, ma la soluzione più adatta per quel tipo di territorio.
Mattia è uno bravo. E l'attenta gestione in campo viene valorizzata al meglio da una mano altrettanto sapiente in cantina. Sarà il suo passato da eno-globetrotter, ma saper gestire il legno di piccola taglia come fa lui, è affare da scomodare i grandi nomi dei vignaioli nostrani, viene in mente Rosi, Niccolaini e via dicendo.
