Scandelara Bianco 2022 Vino Bianco
Pianoro, Bologna
Part of the grapes go into the press directly, while the remainder undergoes a short maceration on the skins. Unlike the other wines that ferment in steel, the Bianco ferments for a good part directly in wood, where after racking it ages for an additional 10 months.
It is the most "French" wine of the entire range, endowed with excellent mineral density, in which the wood leaves its touch in a slight way. Sunny moderately aromatic wine, with an intense taste of yellow fruit, elegant tone!
Scandelara
Scandelara is a project born from the Castel Arienti farm, founded in the 1980s and located in the Pianoro area of the Bolognese hills. This 52-hectare estate features wooded areas, two small lakes, grazing meadows, a small section of arable land, and two vineyards totaling 3.5 hectares. The young owner, Mattia Donini, after studying oenology and gaining experience in some of the world's most important wine regions (including Argentina, New Zealand, and Burgundy), decided to return home to give the estate a new direction and offer his own wines. So far, it's a gamble that has undeniably paid off!
